KYA Radio, San Francisco
Main Control Room
Circa 1930s

This is a view of the main control room of KYA, looking through glass into the
adjoining studio, as it appeared in the 1930s. The photograph
was provided to John Schneider in the 1970s by KYA engineer Carl
Christiensen, and was originally identified as being the studio console
at KJBS, where Mr. Christiensen had also worked. This photo, through
cropped differently, also appears in a
collection of KYA images obtained by the museum in 2008 (q.v.). |
