This radio schedule, which appeared in the September 10, 1933, edition of the Oakland Tribune, shows the programming choices for the next day. Among the selections are Doc Herrold — who had originated the first broadcasting station in the Bay Area in 1909 — appearing on KTAB at 7:45 a.m., popular pianist Edna Fischer at 7 p.m. on KPO, and Al Pearce and His Gang on KGO and the NBC Blue Network at 2 p.m. The programs heard over KLX, owned by the Tribune, merit boldface type in the schedule.
