KPEN 97.7, Los Altos Print Advertisement
Circa
1979
A print advertisement, dating from around 1979, in which
Los Altos' KPEN (97.7 FM) attempts to define the variety of music that
it broadcasts — a triangulation of Adult Contemporary, Easy Rock and
Jazz.
No relation to James Gabbert's original KPEN (which morphed into
K-101), this
version of KPEN was quartered at the Old Mill shopping center in
Mountain View. It later became KFFG, the Southbay sister station to San
Francisco's latter-day KFOG.
